Enlightenment

Attaining enlightenment may seem far off in the distance for most of us. I believe that it is important to reframe how we view enlightenment, or the ultimate goal of our soul’s journey. From my perspective, enlightenment – which is a deep understanding and experience of one’s true nature as a powerful, beautiful soul with an eternal connection to the wisdom of our Creator – can be understood more as a process rather than a final destination. I believe that we all have the capacity to become enlightened and that there is no end to the growth and evolution of our soul, both individually and collectively. Enlightenment is our voyage of discovery of the eternal truths of Spirit and the beauty and wisdom that lie within. The further we travel down the path of enlightenment, the more aligned we become with the native energy of our souls and the pure energies of our Creator. Within our being, the process of enlightenment allows us to come closer to the spiritual ideals of love, grace, beauty, wisdom, peace, compassion, caring, cooperation, justice, goodness, creativity, spiritual power and expansiveness. These are the things that will bring each one of us true and lasting happiness and satisfaction. This is what will bring meaning and purpose to our lives. Once you are walking firmly on your spiritual path, you will stop looking to outer circumstances and material achievements to provide you with validation of your inherent worth, or to give you a sense of belonging or security. Rather, you will achieve a sense of peace, true belonging, lasting security, unconditional love, self-worth, validation and meaning through your spiritual pursuits. And the material world will then manifest the fruits of your spiritual progress and reflect back to you the divine gifts that you have cultivated inside of yourself. You will be able to create and experience wonderful, loving relationships, satisfying work, inner peace and harmony, inspiring revelations, a healthy body, and new and exciting opportunities for growth. This is the true beauty of spiritual living – it is living life to the fullest, expressing and experiencing your creativity and your uniqueness, finding love and meaning, living your truth and rediscovering the profound voice of your own soul. This is, in my view, the essence of the path to enlightenment.
