Spiritual Integration

Spiritual integration is viewed as the third pillar of spiritual development. Once we understand ourselves as spiritual beings, we can begin to use the wisdom of our soul to develop our spiritual intelligence further. Spiritual integration is the practical application of spiritual awareness and spiritual intelligence to our daily lives. The practice of spiritual integration allows us to evolve our souls through the experiences of physical life. We are all here to learn to apply higher spiritual principles to the challenges and opportunities of life. Spiritual integration requires an alignment of our inner values and wisdom with our outer world. If we believe in peace, but don't practice peace, then our belief is merely an abstract concept, not a lived reality. If we believe in goodness but work for an exploitative business, then we are not being true to ourselves. Spiritual integration requires us to "walk our talk."

Paradoxically, part of the purpose of life is for us to learn who we are by experiencing who we are not. It may seem strange, but it is the potential for choosing the dark instead of light, or negativity in lieu of goodness, that enables us to exercise our free will. The process of spiritual integration gives us the opportunity to practice bringing spiritual awareness and spiritual consciousness into our lives. It really is an amazing privilege to be able to practice bringing the wisdom and light of our soul into physical manifestation on Earth.

Even though much of our world appears to be based on "might makes right," we truly flourish and progress here only to the degree that we are able to embody spiritual truths such as reverence, care, cooperation, justice, tolerance and peace. We can only create lasting peace and goodness on Earth when we recognize the divinity within ourselves and within our neighbors. It is from this place of recognition that we can work together to make spiritual wisdom a physical reality in terms of how we structure our lives, our workplaces, our educational institutions, our political systems, our business operations and our international relations. It is in the daily tasks of life where the "rubber hits the road," where we summon the courage to live by our convictions.

Spiritual integration is the application of our spiritual intelligence to create a new world, a world based on the truth of our inner spirit rather than on domination, violence, fear or greed. Despite all of our individual and collective problems, our purpose for being here is to solve these challenges by applying spiritual wisdom and higher consciousness. This is conscious evolution. It is through this incredible process that the soul learns, grows and evolves into the fullness of what it can truly become.
