Introduction to Spiritual Laws

This introduction to Spiritual laws explain how real and tangible they are as the laws of physics – in fact, physical laws are a subset of the greater laws that govern the functioning of both matter and energy in the universe. The most important spiritual law is the law of love. It may seem strange to conceive of love as the power that guides the stars and the planets, the force that holds the atom together and the energy that brings forth life in all its forms. But the truth is that love is the guiding force of the spiritual realm and, eventually, will be the guiding force of the physical realm as well. Love is not weakness – properly understood and applied, love is true power.

It is impossible to enumerate all of the laws governing our existence. However, I will attempt to list some of the core spiritual laws and principles that underlie the structure and functioning of our universe:

• The law of cause and effect (“karma”) teaches us that the universe is a dynamic, intelligent and interconnected system. Everything that we are and that we put into the universal matrix is perfectly reflected in our inner being and also in our outward life circumstances. Simply put, we reap what we sow.

• The law of unity (“we are one”). From the higher spiritual dimensions, the truth that we are all one is self-evident, even though it can be difficult to understand this truth in our physical world of separation.

• The law of correspondence (“as above, so below”) demonstrates that everything is created in a unified pattern that is reflected in structures both great and small.

• The law of vibration and attraction (“magnetism, synchronicity and flow”) states that everything in the universe is comprised of a vibratory frequency and energetic pattern, including physical matter, that interacts according to its frequency.

• The law of cycles and rhythms shows us that everything from the creation and expansion of the universe to the development of a human being from a fetus to an adult appears in cycles; there is an underlying rhythm and flow to all of creation.

• The law of duality functions to support the creation of matter and infinite creative possibilities from the formless potentiality of Spirit.

• The law of creation and intention underlies the power that each one of us has to create and mold our lives in accordance with our own inner vision and our level of spiritual consciousness.

All universal laws work together for the greater purpose of the Light and the evolution of our soul. Life enables us to know ourselves as creators within the greater force of our Creator, and to come to know ourselves as evolved beings of love within the unity of all of creation.
