Healing Pain and Suffering

Suffering is the direct result of feeling separate from the Divine. We inevitably generate suffering for ourselves and others when we use our free will to create patterns of being that are not fully aligned with the frequency of Divine love and unity. Fighting, warfare, misunderstandings, disharmony, dysfunctional energetic patterns and belief systems, unresolved conflict and trauma are the end result of our forgetting our Divine nature, and forgetting the power that each one of us has to create from the heart. From such a place of unconsciousness, we misuse power, abuse others or are ourselves victimized, generating experiences that are the opposite of love, harmony and well-being. Healing these patterns requires work on many levels: the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. Ultimately, healing pain and suffering involves bringing these patterns to our conscious awareness and replacing them with new patterns based on the principles of love and eternal spiritual truth.

It is a vital task for each one of us to examine all aspects of our being: to find within ourselves what works and what doesn’t work for us. Although this may feel like an overwhelming task, there is always higher guidance and help available to every one of us (including in the form of our own intuition and body wisdom) about what issues to explore, what healing modalities to utilize, and which persons can offer us assistance along the way. This type of life review is not only profoundly healing, but also forms an important part of the process of enlightenment because as we shed old belief systems that don’t serve us, we can replace them with purer, more enlightened and more powerful beliefs.

Through the process of healing, we gain the opportunity to experientially learn our soul lessons in a way that is not available to us on the spiritual plane. As we internalize these lessons within our being – whether they be about trust, courage, patience, forgiveness, compassion, the right use of power, unconditional love or any other soul lesson – our soul takes these experiences into its eternal consciousness. After lifetime upon lifetime of learning, we come into a new state of being.

With the courage to face our fears and limitations, we become empowered to reach more enlightened states of consciousness. The process of healing and growth ultimately allows our souls to manifest more powerfully and effectively in the physical plane. Through healing our wounds, we enable ourselves to achieve our life purpose, share our unique talents and gifts with others and contribute to uplifting the entire human family.
